This explains what Keeko collects when you use our app and website, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@mykeeko.com.
What we collect
We collect your name and email when you sign up, and your top-ups, spending and refunds at each venue. We keep a record of which version of our terms you agreed to and when, and anything you send us when you get in touch.
Your password and card details go straight to our sign-in and payment providers. We never see them.
How we use it
We use it to run your house accounts, help when you need us, keep Keeko safe from fraud and misuse, and make Keeko better. We also use it to meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do this to keep our agreement with you, because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving Keeko, because the law requires it, or with your consent.
Who we share it with
The venues you top up with see your member ID, and what you top up and spend there. Staff at the till see the name on your card.
Companies that run parts of Keeko for us, like payments, sign-in, hosting, email and maps, see what they need to do their job. Your data stays protected as UK law requires.
We share it with the police, regulators or courts when the law requires it or to protect Keeko and the people who use it, and with a new owner if Keeko or part of it is ever sold or merged. We may share statistics that don't identify you, for example with venues. We never sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, let the venues know it's you, and functional cookies to improve the service.
How long we keep it
While you have an account, and afterwards for as long as we need it for the reasons above, including legal, tax and accounting rules. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it for some things. Email hello@mykeeko.com. We may need to keep some of it, like payment records, where the law says so. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. If a change matters, we'll let you know.
